On TV: February 19–25, 2007

TV ScheduleIn the week ahead, there are a few notable appearances on TV from alternative bands and artists, as well as some other stuff that sparks our interest here at altmusictv.

Coming up on Monday, February 19th, Silversun Pickups will be performing on The Tonight Show. Then on Tuesday, February 20th, you can catch K-os performing on Letterman, and Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals will be guests on Last Call with Carson Daly.

As the work week finishes out, on Wednesday, G Love will be performing on Conan, and on Thursday, Barenaked Ladies will be on Letterman, showing some continued stateside recognition.

There’s some potentially incredible stuff in store for the weekend as The Arcade Fire will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. That’s this Saturday, February 24th. I can’t wait for their new album, Neon Bible. It’s gonna be flames.

Also this weekend, the encore of Austin City Limits on your PBS station will be the episode featuring The Killers followed by Spoon. Check your local listings for the exact airtime on that one.

Finally, as previously mentioned, this week’s Subterranean on MTV2, coming up on February 25th, will have to do with the PLUG awards.

If more stuff pops up throughout the week, comment and let me know about it. And if you haven’t already, check the previous posts below for more information about the PLUG awards, a new summary of the layoffs at MTV Networks last week, and much more.
